Amazing pictures! Apparently they were meant to be observed from a great height, say a Low orbit satellite or High altitude Plane.
Regarding the circles and lines found in Utah.... Circles like the ones shown, with 'slices' in them, are also called 'medicine wheels'. They are spiritual sites for Native Americans, even today. Most are divided into the 4 corners, but there are some that are divided into more sections, as found in Big Horn Medicine Wheel. Some have a smaller circle in them, and that has been divided into 4 sections [looking like a + from the sky]. If the + is not as well marked out as the circle in the circle is, then it wont show up in aerial photos. All you'll see is a sort of 'bulls eye'.
As for the lines as seen in the otherphotos, my guess would be they are ancient planting beds. Chaco Canyon has some of these, and they can be seen from the sky. Seeds are planted in long rows, then covered with rocks and gravel as mulch to preserve the water, which was very precious as it is now.
Interesting how the Hopi prophecy rock reveals 2 circles bisected by lines. This can't be a coincidence.
The "lines' near Sunnyside and East Carbon, UT, are not far from a large Mima Mound area along the Price River (west of Highway 6/191). So, maybe there is a connection between Mima Mounds and ground patterns (drawings). Where I live in Arizona, there are a lot more Mima Mounds than anyone has ever reported on. I hope to submit some of those maps soon.
